Your privacy matters. This policy explains what information is and isn't handled when you use Precious Metal Prices HQ.

Your figures never leave your device

The value calculator does all of its math entirely inside your web browser. The weights, purities, and prices you enter are used only to calculate results on your own device. They are never uploaded to any server, stored, or transmitted to us.

Live price requests

To show current metal prices, your browser requests the latest spot prices directly from public price services (currently gold-api.com, with a fallback to a public exchange-rate dataset served by the jsDelivr CDN). These are standard web requests, like loading any image or page, and they contain none of the numbers you type into the calculator. If the price services are unreachable, the site falls back to its built-in snapshot prices and keeps working.

Information we collect: none

We do not ask for, collect, or store any personal information about you. There are no accounts and no sign-ups.

Cookies and advertising

To keep this tool free, we display advertising served by Google, using Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites.

We do not run any personal analytics or tracking of our own. Our hosting provider may keep standard, aggregated server logs (such as anonymized request counts) for security and reliability, which do not identify you.

Prices shown are indicative market prices for general information only and may be delayed. Nothing on this site is an offer to buy or sell any metal, and nothing here is investment, tax, legal, or financial advice. Confirm prices with a dealer before any transaction.

Children's privacy

This site is a general-audience tool and is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
